Basically think of it like this: 'Do i have many dozen of this material?' when a Ruined Shrine asks you for something. Rocky Coast and Blood Grove are the two i can think of currently. There are a small handful of Ruined Shrines that i never take, because the materials required are not plentiful enough to justify spending on each new run, especially considering that there are only 55 devo pts max, and over a hundred shrines. Ruined Shrines, on the other hand, cost you some materials, and they get more and more costly as you go. Now, Desecrated Shrines are always good, you get XP + Devo pt + item drops for free.
